is this who i am - or a list of what i've done? how does one make an aspirational statement using past accomplishments? it might predict a pattern, but it might force others to see the person of the present through their past...people claim to want creativity and authenticity, as long as it doesn't force them to be uncomfortable or reevaluate their own 'paradigm'.....

new course/chapter

 Big Bend National Park

I was visiting Big Bend National Park, among other National Parks on a solo cross country drive. Those wide open spaces make a person think. Personal circumstances have opened a new chapter in my life. I reflected as I drove through the 'movie set' scenery......
My life has been rich, varied and mostly interesting. I can't say that all of my choices have been considered or with a long term plan involved. However, I have been able to gain valuable 'takeaways' from all of my experiences (like gift bags at a 21st Century child's birthday party, where no one goes home empty handed!). I surmised that in the past I have been busy with activity (don't confuse with action!) and at times, failed to appreciate the value of the opportunities as they occurred.
And yet, my underlying belief in this existence of mine is that I have been fortunate to be born at such an amazing time in the world with so much wonder all around. I have a story, it's compelling, it's authentic and I'm ready to share it . It's the only one like it.... 'might as well be a good read, not a 'TPS report'
I recall a quote: ' a person can not change the beginning of their story, but the end is still unwritten'
OK. Here goes....
